I think it has a good shot at MS64BN. Relatively clean fields. I'm wondering if that little scuff below his chin actually happened at the Mint. Look "struck through" something IMO. Nice coin!

I'm wondering if that mark on the right wheatstalk might keep it at MS 63BRN? Nice coin

I agree it is a MS coin and has very clean fields. My question is would it be designated brown or red brown? How much red do you need to be RB, my uneducated guess is not enough here and it would be brown.

mcshilling, Grading is an opinion, don't be afraid to post yours. If this coin was sent in I think it has a 50/50 shot at either bing AU58 or MS63 brown. It hard to tell from pictures if there is slight wear on the ear and there is surely some dings ont he rim and right wheat stalk.

CWB....send me some of your photographic steroids! You keep getting better and better man! I think this is your best picture yet. It's easy to grade from your pictures....like candy from a baby! LOL

I just saw you cheat with photobucket. LOL Come on, get those pics down under 100k so the forum can host 'em. The bad thing about the bucket is your pics eventually kick the bucket and get removed. Then down the road folks looking at this thread will only see red X's where your pics used to be.

I'm going to have to say MS60.
There's a hit under the chin. On the reverse, we have a hit on the right wheat stalk, and under the stem of the right stalk. There also appear to be hits on the O, N, C, and T in One Cent, a couple more on the N and I in United, and a small under the M in Unum.
I've heard that I'm really strict though :(

Quote: I'm wondering if that little scuff below his chin actually happened at the Mint. Look "struck through" something IMO I looked at it again and it looks like there is metal raised above the field along the top edge of that rectangular depression. Would that indicate it is PMD rather than struck through something? Whatever it is, it's kind of strange. The right wheat ear has a similar defect. Quote: I just saw you cheat with photobucket. LOL Come on, get those pics down under 100k so the forum can host 'em. LOL! Problem is I like the pictures nice and big when I post. If I use Photobucket, I can keep the pics at 640 X 480 or sometimes I use 800 X 600. At those sizes, I can't seem get the files under 100kb (or at least I haven't figured out a way ) Thanks everyone for the feedback!

Nice! That is the look I'm trying to target for my collection. Just hints of red, I love it. Absolutely beautiful coin!
