It's kinda beat up and looks like maybe someone (or something) polished it one point, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't real. It's a common date in low grade - a nice VG is still only a $20-30 coin and this one's not very nice.

I'd be surprised if it hits $15 in that condition....unless the rotation is a plus for somebody

With the end of the nose chopped and the big gouge in the eye it looks more like
Mr liberty instead of Miss liberty.
I really think it's so banged up it looks strange

Well she's been around for a while and looks like she's had a rough life. If what you are asking if she is genuine, I say definitely yes. Due to the deep scratches and gouges I wouldn't bid over ten dollars for the coin.

I'm not bidding on it, it just struck me as odd. So, yes, I was wondering about authenticity.

Looks real to me and the rotated reverse on old large cents is not that rare, not rare enough to give that coin value when you consider the beat up condition.

I'd say it's real. Both obv and rev match for N-5 and that variety is know for coming with the reverse rotated about 35 degrees. It sold for about what it's worth.

Real but serious gouges. I wouldn't call it VG+ though.
