Finished up my Franklin Dansco album with MS-60 and above Franklins. Started a Standing Liberty quarter collection, along with a Peace dollar. Also picked up a few slabbed nicer Morgans. All in all, been a pretty productive year.

This year I completed the Kennedy, Franklin, and Rossie sets. Almost done with the mercs, Washington, and Jefferson sets. I also acquired an extensive coin collection. I have to mention I got married, became the president of my fraternity, graduated college, commissioned into the Air Force, and moved twice. What a great year for me!

+1 on that Capped Bust Half, jbuck!

The 50c CBH is probably my favorite US coin.

I completed my 7070 this year and have my Lincoln set upgraded to BU coins back to 1934 (my pictures are a little out of date on that one!). It's been a good year!

The only thing I managed to do was complete my third Short set of silver Kennedy's (64-70)

My wife completed her 1oz Australian Lunar set also.

Thank you! I really have to thank Moe for that one. His epic "Half-tober" thread was the inspiration for finally filling that hole in the 7070.

I acquired an 1889 CC Morgan in VF30

Great looking coin! There is one on ebay right now (F-12 I think) and I think I might have to bid on it.

It's been a great year of learning (from you kind folks) and collecting for me .......

Sooooo ..... in no particular order ...

Searched my pocket change and bills every day ..... best finds were a 1916-D Buffalo nickel and a $1 bill with S/N F55662244I.

Searched 92,800 circulated Jefferson nickels ..... reported my find rates every 10,000 coins ..... need two for the complete circulation strike set.

Sorted through my cirulation find Jefferson 1962-date and housed the best in a Dansco 7113 ...... gave the best of the rest away as a freebie here.

Serious collecting and $$ investment in my Classic Silver Commemorative type set ....... added 31 PCGS MS64 - MS67 coins this year ..... have 8 to go.

Expanded my horizons to search for pocket-piece classic silver commemorative ....... collected 18 of them this year and housed in a Dansco album that may never be completed. Shared a few photos with all of you.

Started a Liberty nickel set ...... goal is that tough-to-find XF40 to AU55 range ..... 11 coins so far of 33 housed in a Dansco album.

Joined the ANA.

Purchased a CCF t-shirt ...... still the only owner pending photographic evidence otherwise.

And ...... last but not least ...... shared what I could to contribute to this fine forum.

Still have a lot of learning to do!

David

Well I started collecting this year after I was given 10 lbs of silver coins from my grandfather....
1) I completed Jefferson, Rosie, Kennedy-BU, Franklin-XF/AU sets
2) Lincoln 1939-present in BU
3) Bought my first slabbed coins - 1879s and 1881s Morgan, 1941 WLH, 1938sFB Mercury all in MS-64
4) Got a good start to my Walker, Mercury, and Washington sets
