Gutkowski, the 99 was the first one I pulled and I have found 4 or 5 2000's but not another 99 yet!

With me,it seems when I find one,I find several more over the course of the next week, then a long drought. This time I found #19 on Monday night and the 20th one tonight. I'm sure that it is coincidence, but it almost always happens that way. And ,yes, northwestseeker,I would be glad to send you one. I think me email on the forum works,so just send me your info and I'll send one your way.

That's funny..I found my 99 and 98 the first time searching....70,000 pennies later and no more 99's....the first was so easy I thought I'd be getting at least a few.

I know what you mean maineman, that "beginners luck" can sure spoil you but when you think about it, if you didn't have some luck early on you wouldn't survive the long droughts. I know when I started searching nickels in my first box I got a War Nickel,3 buffaloes and a 1938 in EF condition.I thought,"I'll have this whole set done in no time!" Here it is,4 years later and still not complete!

hockingzig, how many 2000s have you found to go along with your 20 1998s? They are supposed to be easier to find but I don't believe it.

I have only found 4-2000's. Bad Thad and I live about 2 hours apart and he has found way more 98's than he has 2000's. I think a lot of this is geographical.

I'm in south Florida (at least I thought I was until we had 28 degrees one night this week) and have found many more 1998s than 2000s.

I wished I was in Florida the other night when it went into the single digits! Love them WAMS, though. It's enough to keep you warm! I'm up to 10 on each of the 1998 and the 2000. I had to throw back at least a dozen or so total of each because of extreme damage or extreme corrosion. I do have to excellant 1999's, though.

Has anybody seen any pop reports on the 99's ? I hear people trying to discount them as bneing common, but I like facts instead of rumors. I've noticed an upward trend of prices on the 98's & 00's when I search ebay, but not enough 99's are sold to determine anything. Yeah Hockingzig, that beginners luck was great...next time my daughter offers to help,I better take her up on it...just don't know whether to tell her 92 CAM or 99 WAM...only get one chance
