I sold four ASE's in Airtight capsules the ones with the foam rings around the coin and the capsules are in a frame. The dates were '90,'88,and two '86's. I got $30 each. Did I do good or not? Thanks for reading,

IMHO you sold on the low side. I'm no expert, but even on ebay they are paying more for the FYOI.

Maybe a couple of dollars low. Thing is, the fewer you offer, the less its worth to the buyer, so its not that bad.

John - That's slightly over spot. I was buying them locally for $30.00. Then the POS dropped and my local coin store raised their price to $35.00. Can't figure that one out.

In my book, as long as you didn't lose money on the deal... Don't let these guys make you sweat a dollar or two either side of it!

Thanks for all the replies. I didn't loose any money on this sale, in fact even when you factor in the cost of the holders I still came ahead $50. So I guess I did O.K. JFYI the dealer is paying 18x face.

sounds like a fair price. retailers sell them spot +2 to +3 (about 31 to 32), but they only buy them around spot, so you split the difference. If I was looking to buy, or looking to sell, with today's spot price I'd call 30 fair.

I agree that you sold on the low side of what they are selling for but if it was more than you paid then you did good in my opinion. You do not have to sell at retail to do good, all you have to do is sell for more than you paid

If he only pays 18x face for ASE's he is ripping people because that is only $18.00 a piece

What did you originally pay for them? $50.00 profit from four bullion coins is pretty good in my book.

I have some in Proof I might be selling but after adding in shipping it might not be a good deal for you.

I paid $15 for one,$14 for the second one,$7 for the third one $8 for the last.

He is paying 18x for junk silver, I got $30 a piece for the ASE.
