So, I have a 1992-D CAM LMC. I have heard of these selling @ $2000. What I need help and or opinions on is this. What would be the best way to sell this coin for the most profit as I would like to turn the money made from this into an aquisition of either a 1909-SVDB cent or a 1916-D merc. Just not sure of the best way to go about this. Hope I posted this in the right section of the forum. Thanks for any advicehelp with figuring out what I should/could do to acheive what I am trying to acheive. WOLF Edited by wolf-n-wa 12/20/2010 11:07 pm

I would imagine your best bet would be the worldwide audience of the bay. But, you have all those fees and other things to consider that go along with it.
Whatever you do, make sure you post clear and vivid pictures so that you can get the attention of serious collectors. You want to make sure you don't get passed on because someone isn't sure of what you have.
If you have any decent coin dealers (or maybe someone can recommend another high dollar dealer), maybe you could just trade for that '09-S VDB or Merc.

There are a couple/few high dollar auction houses/sites where you may be able to consign them to, also.

If you're going to sell it, you MUST have it slabbed to get top dollar. I would never consider selling one of these raw, you'll probably get half of what you would slabbed.

If youare serious about selling this coin you will need to get it in a holder - PCGS or NGC will work. Then you are going to need good quality professional images taken of the coin. With something worth this kind of money ($1000+), and the likelihood that you found it in change, DO NOT be cheap and try getting away with spending nothing (or very little) to sell it. If it costs you $200 to get it in the right holder, photos that will work right, and the coin listed in the right place to reap the best money back for it, then that's the route you need to go.

Alright, so the first step obviuosly is getting it graded and slabbed. Then good pics. So, the final question. Where is "THE RIGHT PLACE" to have it sold?

Heritage Auction Galleries will offer to buy coins out-right. Or you could put it into one of their auctions.
