The wife knows that I've been searching Nickels for a month or so. We've had some extra expenses in our lives (+ the holidays), so I haven't been able to buy any boxes of Halves/Quarters or whatever....just little batches from time to time to satisfy my "searching urges". (Which have been productive with some finds of Silver War Nickels---about 6 now. A dateless Buffalo, and a half dozen '09 Nickels with one P mint) Anyway....she knows that I DO NOT prefer "customer wrapped" rolls or "bank wrapped" rolls, but she couldn't find anytthing else. She was kind of sad about it, but got me about $50.00 worth of customer wrapped from a bank in the town where she's originally from. I began going through them Christmas night and Sunday morning. This morning ( I had about 6 rolls left to look through), I opened one roll, that seemed to have that familiar tone. THE WHOLE ROLL WAS SILVER War Nickels ! ....  I opened the next one and about half of those were 30% Silvers TOO ! The rest were Pre-1940's S Mints ! All together I found 57 SILVER War Nickels FROM THE WIFES CUSTOMER ROLLED BANK BATCH !Finally " I " am one of those lucky people who come across a good find !  I was just ecstatic ! .... Couldn't believe it !           Edited by eaglefoot

amazing.,.. wouldnt that be a trip if she actually bought 1 1/2 rolls of war nickles and placed them in there for you? lol either way, great story

I told my wife I wanted a box of pennies from the bank for Christmas, she gave me the $25 and told me to go get my own....
