I finally got around to shooting some new pictures of my Lincoln set in my Dansco 7100 album.
I used better and more lighting for these pics - two 100W Edison bulbs in separate lamps, plus moderate overhead halogen lighting. The pictures are much better and color true.
I have been upgrading the set and have been looking for BU coins in the 20's and 30's. You can see I have made it back to the early 30's - those are proving to be a challenging task. I'm hoping to add a 31-S after Christmas!
You can see the pics by clicking the link in my signature line.

Your 7070 looks very much like the type set I am working on except I didn't get all the seated varieties for all the denominations, I kind of cover them by series. I still need a Seated dollar and Trade dollar. Very nice job on that. You have to be proud. Nice Lincolns too. I like the way you used medallions from mint sets to fill in the holes.

Thanks everyone! Wheezydog, I struggled with the need to buy multiple versions of all of those Seated coins for the 7070 - seems like overkill to me - but ultimately just bit the bullet and did it. And I hope to fill those holes in the Lincoln album! (except maybe that 22 plain). May take me awhile, though...

Love what you did to fill those missing key dates. Great idea!

Nice pictures and I also like what you did to fill in the missing dates.
Any worries about toning or other problems with the album, with the number of BU coins you have?

Very beautiful set KenKat
i have started collecting lincolns since three years, I bought the dansco and I have managed to fill in many holes of the lincoln memorial and hope that someday my album will look like this. I also like how you filled the holes of the expensive dates.... BTW...What are these and how can you obtain them.
Thanks for sharing these sets with us...at least I can view what my dansco should look like when I complete this set.
Regards

swiego - I worry a bit about toning some but I found the collection unmanageable and difficult to look at in other forms (such as Air-Tites). I do use the protective sleeve for the Dansco album and keep them in a relatively controlled environment, so I'm hoping that's enough.
EgCollector - those are US mint tokens. They put them in US Uncirculated Sets to indicate what mint the coins are from. They are struck on a cent planchet, so they are perfect as hole fillers. I got them from someone on the forum - maybe GoldRush? For people that open mint sets to put coins in albums, they end up as extras.

If it's okay with you, I may steal your idea with using those copper "medallions" to fill some key date holes ! Love it !...... ... ......

Rather than so called protective sleeves, why not just use the gallon sized Zip Lock Plastic Bags. Much, mush safer to coin protection. I do like those tokens in places where you still need a coin. Why not use them after the 58's. I too hate those empty spaces.
