So what you are saying is we should start flipping ours now Storm? LOL, just kidding, I'm not selling the one's I got. Took longer to sell them out than I thought it would which I think means they made a ton, relatively speaking.

Since they went on sale so late in the year, I"m also curious as to the production numbers.

As of 12/26, sales totaled 834,879 which would make it one of the highest mintages of the proof series.

Well......on the sunny side....everybody who wanted one HAS one now !! .....

The whole infuriating "interruption" with ASE collectors wanting a year by year concurrent collection, will just be more infuriated I believe.
The 2008 Proof probably will never see a HUGE premium....and now with the series resuming in 2010, the Mint decides to spew out one of the highest mintages so that everyone who wants one can have one.
END RESULT : THE "INTERRUPTION" WILL MEAN ABSOLUTELY N.O.T.H.I.N.G. !! (except that there will always be a glaring empty hole in the ASE Proof collection)
No premium for the '08....no premium for the 2010 either...

Ed Moy's legacy: spitting on taxpayers, numismatists, the public, and bullion investors. A classic government stooge.

Thank God he is resigning, but remember, be careful what you wish for, the next guy could be an even bigger stooge.

No, you did just fine. I bet you that you will be able to get the 2010s on ebay in a couple months for less than Mint issue price as the flippers cut their losses

Not the news I like to hear ..
I only bought 3, I know I will sell one or two. In case there is a price drop.
I really was hoping for a low mintage.

This is great. I saw people pre-ordering them for $500+ and was amazed people were paying that much. I guess they wanted to gamble and lost big time.
