I'm not the final authority - heck, I'm not even an expert - but that pitting is not in any known place on a 1921-P Morgan, and I own at least one of every known Pitted Reverse 1921-P.
This coin is really getting interesting. Wrongalot, could you get a pic of the obverse up? Does it have any die cracks?
If you can, do a manual search for doubling on the stars, date and reverse letters - if it's there, it'll very likely be towards the rim rather than either side.

Here are the shots of what I have, could not get them all so here is a list. 1. In the denticle above the I in Pluribus, die crack. 2. In the denticle above the 1st U in Unum, (not sure, got the best pic I could) 3. M in Unum, die crack into the denticle, small. 4. U in Unum, die crack between the letter going into denticle. 5. Die crack between the U and R in Pluribus. 6. Die crack running along the first 6 stars to the right of the date. 7. Die crack from stars 2, 4,5,and 6 to the right of Unum. 8. In Liberty on the crown, a period on the lower arm of the Ein pic it is reversed so it looks like a hole, but it really is raised like a period.) That is all I am seeing on the obverse, hope this helps some. Sure would like to know if this coin is of any value. The things that interest me the most are: 1) The die polishing in the eagle's tail 2) The pitting below the L 3) The straight die polishing lines extending from the denticles thru the LUR in PLURIBUS - is that prominent line after the R raised? 4) The dot in the E - there are many examples of such odd dots in 1921 Morgans. It's theorized that they may be the result of hardness tests of the dies. None of those have any mention in available descriptions of 1921-P VAM's. Taken singly, they may not be important enough to warrant designation as a new VAM. Together, they might. One other thing, wrongalot. Do you have any other 1921-P Morgans? If so, can you compare the reeding between this one and another? Some 1921's had 157 reeds instead of the usual 189, and the space between reeds is noticeably wider when comparing the two side-by-side. That won't help us with attribution, but it'll be a point of significance if yours is an Infrequently Reeded type.

Ok, I can't justify spending money on a magnification system just to look at the couple of 21Ps I own, anyone suggest the next best option?
You all have my interest sparked to look at all my morgans closely.

ok then its regular reed instead of Wide reeding (infrequent reeding) so that answers that question
