This is how the Cancer of fake coins spread!
I have never intentionalyy bought a fake coin, but yet I now have one.
I live in Australia, I bought two pages of World Coins, only cost me $10.00.
(see image) Lots of American coins, includeing the 1865 dollar & the 1921 dollar.
The 1921 dollar is real, it is heavier & the metal looks & feels different. When you hit the 1921 with another coin you get a "TINK" but when you hit the 1865 with another coin you get a "CLUNK"
The date is a definite give away compared to the real coin.
The Die Crack & chip out of the rim made me hope that it was real.
As you can see there is no "COPY" stamped on coin.
I was going to on sell it through
ebay.
DAMN,, thanks for all your input & saving me the embarrassment.
