Wolf was kind enough and trusting enough to send me this coin to examine. He found it roll searching! I don't think there is any question that it is a Close AM, what say ye? Please don't hold my terrible photography against him. Any opinions on grade or value (so I can hold it for ransom )?

It sure looks like a Close AM to me! Is that white stuff corrosion? It looks to have AU details. I look at every 1992 I find in rolls and haven't found one of these. Great find!

Sure looks like the real deal...the FG is spaced away from the capitol too. I've never seen any sold though, so pricing is hard to figure.

By the AM in combination with the FG initials, this is definitely a Close AM. Great find! The lettering on the reverse is pretty worn for that year, I am not seeing this make an AU grade.

WOW! Isn't the 92 D even better than the 92 P ?

I believe the 92-P CAM is the rarest and D is right behind

Nice find. Have no idea on value but the details are easily AU. The steps are intact and would be smooth if the legend was worn that much. The bowtie and ear is still intact on the obv so I feel comfortable with an AU grade. nlp

Nice find. That coin needs to be certified/slabbed. Check out the population reports on the 3 top TPG's. I beleive one of the 3 may not have done a 92-D yet. Should go AU+ on the details. The reverse area in question as far as wear is most likely just Die Deterioration. Pretty sure less than a dozen D's found so far. Only 2 P's have been found to date. Unless someone found a third and is hiding:) I had the chance to see in hand both P's here in Mass. That is where they were found. I was in a coin shop when #1 P was brought in raw. Been starting to find more and more D's here now. not the CAM but just the 92-D in general. If those have made the trip east then the P's may be anywhere in the country by now.

I think the area around STATES OF was just Struck Through Grease. There's not a whole heck of a lot of wear on the coin. It does not show in the pics, but the coin still has a pretty good amount of luster to it. The obverse is slightly MAD. Nice little ding on the rim and the lower front of the bust, but other than that I'd be proud to have this coin in my collection. Oh wait, now I do! I'll see if I can get some better pics.
