What do you guys think the best way to get the 2011 silver proof set when it comes out. Would it be Directly from the mint, local coin shop or ebay? (or some other place)
-Thanks!

I will get mine, as per usual, directly from the Mint.
Some people wait and then pick them up a little cheaper from coin shops, ebay, etc. etc. But I don't want to wait that long....and it's only an "assumption" that it will be cheaper anyway.

However, I will wait until the Uncirculated Set, the Proof Set, AND the Silver Proof Set ALL come out.....and then order in one order, instead of three different orders, that way I'll save on shipping and handling.

I get two of each, as well, that way I can crack open one set for all of my albums, and then have one just to keep.

Personally, I've never seen a Proof Eagle below 50 bucks. A lot of places on line value many years at $40-$45. Getting get one for that will only be if the seller is kind hearted and you're buying more than the ASE. I might add, mint prices were $29-$33 (if memory serves me) for the 1986-2008 Proof ASE which is still a lot less that the current value. it was only recently the mint jumped the price to over $40 due to silver prices.

Like Eaglefoot I order from the mint .. and wait for multiple items come available.
It does seem like a lot of the coins, I like, will be coming out early.
I am thinking I will be buying the clad and silver coins and the two commemorative
dollars in Jan-Feb.

Then the ASE proofs (I hope) and the ATB Quarter rolls.
