Was not expecting this at all. I had cherrypicked the best example, of the doubling, not the coin as a whole when I bought it raw.....but it grades 1995 Double Die Obverse NGC MS67 RED . I will post pics when I have the coin back from NGC. It was expected to be here today, but snow must have delayed FedEx.

Seems as though you did a pretty nice job cherrypicking!
What were you expecting it to come back as?

MS 63/4. The only other choice was a nice coin and really did have nicer eye appeal, but the doubling wasn't as distinct. They may have bumped it up a grade for the nice example of doubling...but idkn? Of course it has been about 10 months since I looked at the coin. I bought it and put it away and recently decided to send it out to NGC. Needless to say, I am pleased!

If the coin graded MS67 and you expected MS63/64 then I'd say you have some learning to do about grading. I have a 95 DDO in at PCGS that I fully expect to come back MS68RD. Bought it in a PCI MS67 holder.

Pics on Monday. coppercoins, of course I have some learning to do regarding grading, I hope we all do. I have spent sometime doing it for a living, and probably undervalued the grade to give an effect of how surprised I was at the grade. Again, I have not seen the coin in over 10 months, knew the coin was Mint State, but bought it of the degree of doubling for a fine example to my collection. On the note of grading. I have personally seen coins cleaned (dipped) before sending, come back in pleasing grades to the sender. I have also personally seen coins that were cleaned 50-100yrs ago (properly for the time) come back the sender not graded (cleaned), with both PCGS and NGC. When I said "I hope we all have some learning to do", I was including the professionals at top TPG's as well.

And I hope your 95 DDO comes back PCGS MS68RD. In all sincerity.

For me I really don't care about the grades. I'm a lousey grader of coins and no intention of learning either. I presently have 10 full sets of Lincoln Cents in Whitman Albums and hopefully in order of best to worst. Some came in slabs and I just took them out since I collect coins not plastic. I don't sell coins so makes no difference if MS-60, MS-66 or MS-1,000. As long as I like the way they look, grading is irrilavant.
