The only thing jumping out at me is the extra "flooring" at the bottoms of bays 3 & 4. But, what it is, I don't know.

It looks like a nice die gouge. You can see the tip of the gouge in bay #2 & #5 as it sticks out of the column. Has some nice cool factor.

I see them, but have no idea if its doubling of some sort or possibly die chips.

I wonder if this is more Feeder Finger Damage. The only thing that makes sense to me so far.

Looks more like a die gouge. It disappears behind the columns, so it is not as deep as the deepest part of the devices.

That's a die gouge. No way it's hub doubling (extra columns or floor), and it's not coin damage.

Feeder Finger Damage seems most logical, but it could be an errant tooling mark too.

B.J.Neff says:

"I believe that this coin is worthy of an in hand examination by one or any of the variety die experts. From the appearance, it could be a doubled die, but it is difficult to tell just what you have from a picture."

and Mike Diamond@CONECA says:

It could be just a die gouge or a linear die dent, but as BJ says, it could also be a doubled die.

so......i sent it out and am waiting to hear the verdict.

photos done by a Canon PowerShot A590 (sub $100.00 camera)

Set to Macro and use a 100 watt regular light bulb.
