I am so sick and tired of seen these unethical sellers pouting, UNSEARCHED roll of.... If you came across this for example in an attic chest, or an old lady brought these to your coin shop and wanted to sell them, wouldn't you go through the roll if you saw a gold coin on one end! I would. It's entertaining but also so frustrating on the other side. http://cgi.ebay.com/UNSEARCHED-PENN...em3f06e8f2a6swcoin.ecrater.com

Wait! You mean penny rolls don't normally have quarter eagles?!?!
But seriously who would fall for this. It's almost as bad as dealers claiming gold coins in uncleaned lots. At least with this one there supposedly is some real gold.

I mean, the bidders I think know this guys game and are just bidding accordingly knowing the gold coin and Half Dime value only. The rest are probably common LWC's.

...I don't think anybody is being fooled...and if they are, they deserve to be....maybe hoping for something too good to be true....no different than playing the lottery.

I would bid on this one! My max bid would be the melt value of the gold and silver, + 48 cents.

Very funny that so many of his "unsearched" cent rolls have coins other than cents on the ends. I peeked at some of his fedback and most people were pleased with their purchases. I agree with earlier posts that say they would only bid on the value of the 2 end coins.

Wow, you must be quite the character to put gold on one end, 48 wheaties, then a bust on the other! If that is all wheats in the middle, somebody ought to bust this guys chops.. What a load of bull.

What you're really buying are the coins on the ends and whatever is in the middle of the roll is extras. I don't believe anyone who says the roll is unsearched.

"These rolls are unsearched by us" and they have "no wheatbacks"...again I say the people who bid, deserve what they get.I'd bet money you could tell the bidders it's a scam and they would ignore you completely...maybe even tell you to myob.It has happened to me.
But let's not forget the entertainment value for us !

Indeed. That last roll with the Indian Head Quarter Eagle sold for around $600.
