I agree with you Lostwords about J&M's website. I'm fortunate as I live in Vancouver so I don't need to order off the website I can just walk into their store. Their selection is second to none but in all honesty I never get great service when I'm there. They have a few people in their main store that don't know much about coins and I'll have to pull out a Charlton when I'm there and show them what I'm looking for. The last time I was in the store a woman was looking for some $20 for $20 coins to buy as a Christmas present. The guy had no idea what she was talking about and was trying to sell her the silver Maples. I politely explained to the employee what she was looking for.
I have never ordered from Gatewest so no opinion there, although I have been on their website and I also find that one difficult to navigate.

I have had a great experience with colonial acres. The only thing I wish they did was combine shipping from ebay purchases with purchases from their store directly. Their website is way better than J&M's and gatewest's. Those two companies need to invest a bit in web development.

I got the 2012 Dragon Lunar Lotus coin, Quadrum 36mm holders, and boxes that hold 5x36mm. Everything was shipped for the same price, packaging and delivery time was excellent.

Since I posted this topic nearly 2 years ago I thought I would chime in. I have purchased many items from Colonial Acres in that time. It has always been a positive experience.
Like many others I usually get most of my supplies with them also. Now that I think of it, I have not been there in a bit. Well looks like it is time to spend more money on money.

I have been very happy with their service. Never any problems. Once I ordered a bunch of UNC toonies and they didn't have a couple of them so they sent me a few PL coins for those dates in their place! :)

I'll throw in my 5 cents as well.
I've been purchasing from them for about two years now. I have nothing but positive things to say about their customer service. The rare time that I run into an issue, they have always taken care of it immediately. They answer the phone and they have always answered my emails.
As for a 10-day/two week delay in shipping (for stuff in stock)? Big deal. Minor inconvenience.
Have you ever waited more than two weeks for something you ordered from the Mint directly? **cough**five penny set**cough**

I find their prices on U.S. coins very high, their shipping very slow, and their postage very expensive.. my opinion only.

I find almost all seller's who have a brick and mortar store and also sell on E-bay have the "highest prices" for coins. Perhaps overhead costs? Glenn

After I first called the Chantou Coins, I lost interest. I took them 15 minutes to find what I was looking for. The service was simply impatient. The service from Colonial Acres is one of the best I've encountered.

Quote: Any body in on the "Loyalty Sale" they have going till Feb. 28 Some decent prices. Some not so good. Nothing super cheap left but what really is odd is they way they've done this sale. Anyone can order the 'loyalty' items so is it really a reward for their loyal customers? Also, notification of the sale came via e-mail a week or so after the items went on the website. And finally, the clunky way they asked loyal customers to access the items is a little backward (search on 'loyalty' plus a number?). You can see all 70 items just but searching the word 'loyalty'. Why not just set up a section on the left like they have for other sales?! Still, if I happen to order something else before the end of February, there a couple of things that are maybe 5 bucks off retail that I might buy if they are still in stock. And you?
