Nice album! I have a few Warman's folders but these Dansco albums seem so much nicer.

I think there was some members wondering if I could find a couple more of these albums
for a good price. The shop I get the best deals on dansco albums did not have anymore.
I think their business is not doing good, when I see they are needing money I hit them up
for a good deal .. but it would not work that way if I had them order one.

I think they had a Morgan date set album, but that would be just the first three pages of this album.

I am doing pretty good on the Morgans for this set .. I only need four more. Then I will work on
the Peace dollars.

Year sets are a great way to collect coins, agreed, but why not complete the collection before buying the album? By collecting coins this way, one then needs not repeatedly look at those danged, empty holes!

The 1895 is a more expensive year to acquire, as is the 1893. Pray tell, does that pictured 1895 Morgan bear a mintmark?

I am 85% to 90% sure that I am going to get this album when I finally get around to ordering my American the Beautiful Quarters album.

I guess I am not suprised that others are thinking about starting this set. The more coins I get into it .. the more I like it.

And I do think it is a good time to buy Morgans and Peace dollars.

Here are a few update pics, I think I am about a month into this set.

Here is a link at Wizard....

http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/pro...78-date.html

Thanks for that link. I went there and noticed they also have Whitman items and I'm running out of places that carry them. Even at coin shows it is becoming Dansco. Don't know what is wrong with this world. Got to get some extra pages.

@GoldRush...Nice collection you have there. I just started with Morgans too, and I just ordered the #7178 Album (mint series 1878-1890), and will order the second half (#7179) when the right time comes. I was planning to complete the Date Set first when I started my collection, but I noticed that I was passing up on a lot of great coins/deals on other mint marks just because I already had that particular date. I ended up convincing myself that a complete set album would suit me...but just like others have already mentioned, this quest might break the bank. I just hope that I made the right decision, considering completing the mint mark will be harder and will take more time.

Any beginner-advice from the experts who have completed the Morgan dollar mint mark challenge will be highly appreciated.

Thanks for sharing your collection - chuckpb (noobmismatist)

Sometimes ... coin collecting is hard

I am down to 2 Morgan holes and 8 Peace holes. I want to complete this set, but I am also
down to 2 holes on my 7070 type set and 2 holes on my Lincoln 8100.

At this point it is more see what coins come along first, but this dollar date set
album is becoming one of my favorites ...
