Most people push them out from the rear and sometimes their fingers go right through the paper in the rear.
When I moved my coins from folders to albums, I did this more than once... per row!

Sorry to bump this thread again, but I have an update. I finished putting all of my lincolns in the folders and I just wasn't happy with it. I couldn't see both sides, and having to force them in there was annoying me much more than relaxing me. So today I found a small local coin shop, went in and met some of the most friendly people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. They took the time to get to know me, and we talked for a good while. I ended up buying a Dansco 7100 for my lincoln cents and could not be happier. It was a joy to transfer them, and now I can really enjoy my cent collecting. Thank you guys to suggesting I go with an album as opposed to the folders. I'm very happy. Also, I went to my bank today and they were happy to sell me a box of pennies which I am looking forward to searching :D

Bob ! ..... This is "your" thread. You can do with it what you will ! ....

NOW YOU'RE SET ! .........

........ ..........

The "next" stage of your addiction, is to try to get the best "quality" of Cents in there ! It's called "upgrading".
You can buy cheap older Proof Sets and Uncirculated Sets from THAT VERY COIN SHOP, and break out the Cents and put into this 7100 Dansco album !
There's something about those SHINING Cent coins in a Dansco Man !
Obviously, for some of the much older Wheats, it would be expensive to do that.....but for "Common Date" wheats (bought individually) or the more Modern and Ultra Modern Cents....... IT'S VERY AFFORDABLE !

A lot of the "older" Uncirculated and Proof Sets can be bought anywhere from $12.00 to $25.00 or $30.00 range.
You can then free those Lincolns from there and put into your new album ! ...

Of course, upon doing that, you'll have "other" coins. And.....hmmmm....what to do with them ? ...
Go back to the coin shop and buy a Jefferson Dansco...... A Rosie Dansco...... A Washington Qtr. Dansco.....A Kennedy half Dansco.... A Presidential dollar Dansco..... A Sacagawea Dansco.....

SEE WHERE I'm GOING WITH THIS ? ........ ... ...

Let the addiction begin ! ..........

Shops like that can be a very good thing for the development of a novice collector

Eagle foot, I see exactly where you are going with this. My fiancé apparently does too as she read your post with me. She didn't even give me the death glare. She spent a few hours last night searching rolls with me and we had a good time. Thank you to everyone here for being so helpful!

I have always used Whitman Folders. When I get some spare money, I might get some Whitman Albums.

To replace all my current folders with albums would be over $400.
I would probably have to rearrange items on the shelves to fit them.

Went to local coin shop and got a few albums of several there, and dropped by a local book store and got one album (they only had one of the type I will be using).

Hate to even say this but if you can find Whitman Albums, you'll be lucky. I'm in the Midwest where Whitman USED to be the leader in coin products. Used to be able to buy anything in Whitman, all the time, anywhere. Now the last coin store around me that used to carry Whitman, just told me no more Whitman, only Dansco from now on. There are 4 coin shows a Month by me and at all of them there are no more Whitman Albums being sold and again, only Dansco. I need some blank pages for Albums I like to create but can't find them anymore except on the Whitman web site. Not sure if this trend is all over the USA but if it is happening in Whitman's home town, so to speak, guess it is happening everywhere.

This may not really count, but a big bookstore here has always had a very large collection of folders & albums (as well as a nice selection of various coin books).
They've NEVER carried Dansco.....always "U.S. Mint, Whitman, or Littleton" folders and albums.
Same thing at our local Hobby Lobby.........all Whitman, Littleton, or Official US Mint stuff.
When you mention "Dansco" to a salesperson, they just give you a blank look and have never heard of them.
I live in NE Kansas, so it's apparant that "Dansco" has not invaded EVERY place !
Now the local coin shops are a different story of course.....they carry everything still.

The book and hobby stores in my area (at least the ones I have been to) carry the Harris and Whitman products (both albums and folders). The coin shops carry Dansco and Whitman albums.
