Wow ... I am not a fan of toned coins but this Jefferson is indeed lovely. I am absolutely enthralled with the yellow portrait contrast versus the bronze toned fields. Honest feedback is that your photos are not yet in focus with enough resolution to see all the details ... but no worries ... you are doing great at capturing the 'essence' of the coin. Sooo ... my opinion ... from what I can see of this lovely Jefferson ... Fields, devices and portraits are clean of any distracting bag marks ... I assume the obverse 'hot spots' on Jefferson jaw/cheek as well as his 5pm bust are photo artifacts and not truly on the coin in hand. Note the obverse rim stain at 1pm on the rim and at 5:30 on Jefferson shoulder. Wondering what is going on at 1pm on the reverse above the letter "U" of Unum? All in all ... a lovely coin that I would be proud to own .. Sooo ... my bset guess ... NCG PF67 David

I'm 99.99% it it natural. I have seen tons, I mean tons, of proof nickels from the '60's, still in the mint cello that have toned all sorts of brilliant colors. Nice pick-up!

this looks EXACTLY like the type of nickel, half, dime, ect that an epay seller artificially tones EVERY coin he gets his hands on. I doubt he's the only one to do that, too. we'll find out when it gets slabbed

Aswesome nickle love the toning on it, it makes it look awesome. Still learning to grade will give it a shot. I am going to go with PR-66.

I see why it is your favorite - beautiful. Has a few spots, but I suspect NGC Proof-66.

Nice coin...the color progressions are inline with market acceptable toning. This coin is NT IMO. Not a nickel guy, but I'll guess:
PF-66*

Seems to me to get past PF65 you need special eye appeal. This coin has it so I'm taking the high road PF68

Very nice looking nickel. I too really like the tone on this one.
I will be conservative and say PF65
If you don't mind I would like to know ... what you have into this coin If you recently purchased it .. and grading cost.
I saw this and looked through a roll of proof 1961 nickels I have. One has a nice tone similar to yours, and a couple have cameo. So I am curious if it is worth getting them slabbed
Edit ... I looked at the second set of pics .. and now not sure if what I am seeing is on the holder or the coin.
