So how much offset is worth keeping?

You can see from the picture that it is offset just to the edge. It's probably not worth keeping or worrying about, but I figure I might as well ask about it.

This type of out of collar strike is fairly common, especially on cents, but they can be found in pretty good numbers in most denominations.

They dont carry a premium in most cases,,

Roger that, thanks for the response! I didn't figure they would be worth that much, but this one was so close to the edge I figured I'd ask. I'll keep an eye out for the elusive ones that are offset halfway across the coin.

You can notice also that the reverse is not misaligned like the obverse is. These misalignments are very common.

That the obverse is misaligned and the reverse is not is the key to identifying this anomaly. The planchet was sitting properly in the collar or the edge of the coin would not be smooth - so it is not a partial collar strike. It's actually a misaligned die strike, and Wayne is correct in that it is very common.
