lukkyseven Pillar of the Community United States 880 Posts	Posted 02/22/2011 11:43 am I personally don't think there are a whole lot of Jefferson nickels worth slabbing. I've busted quite a few MS66's out of slabs already for my Dansco. If you thought that a coin could make MS67 or maybe 66 FS then possibly... But I still probably wouldn't. I would have when I first started collecting them and thought that getting something slabbed was a big deal, but I don't any more. Others here are different and some are not, but I wouldn't slab this coin. Full Steps to me are hard to judge from scans/pictures and it might be in hand, but the steps seem to merge under the second pillar which would keep this from making FS. Seems to be a nice coin though, luster would be important to determine higher grades also (the only other reason for slabbing IMO). All that being said - this coin has very strong steps and is a nice addition to a Jefferson collection. Report this Post to the Staff
