My FIRST radar note!

I'm not much of a paper money collector but this is pretty nice! Almost unc I would say no nothing major wrong with it..
I'll likely hold on to it for now at least but is decent market for these?

Mmm, well it didn't give me a image link fail but for some reason it wont let me link to the imageshack image.....

A radar note is a serial number that reads the same from front to back.

One digit radar: 1111111, 2222222, 3333333, etc.
Two digit radar: 1212121, 4445444, 4454544, etc.
Three digit radar: 1233321, 5451545, 7889887, etc.
Four digit radar: 1358531, 7451547, 2684862, etc.

In this case, snek's note (9305039) is a four digit radar.

When did the $20 banknotes change to that design? I haven't seen those before.

UPDATE:

I see it was 2004. Didn't recognize the reverse design.

this one appears in 2006 as labelled on it. Look closely there's the whole package 5,10,20,100 and probably others but I don't have enough money to own them, lol.

I think there only one issue so far and maybe all notes are not from the same year. Oh I forgot there a variety of 10$ notes, with and without the silver band, and maybe on for the 5 dollar bill too.

I have been collecting Radar notes for years and have all kinds of them, while this note is a great find it is fairly common. The single
digits and double digits are the real chasers and enhanse a radar note collection signifacantly.
The market is somewhat limited on radar notes mostley due to the cash
outlay in the beginning of the series, for example you need five bills to complete a set for a cash outlay of $185.00 times that by the amount of series issued, well you get my point.
I remember my first radar note and like you I was gobsmacked to say the least, I was hooked and now I go around and ask everybody if I can look at there money but once you explain why most people are quite obligeing, but not always.

Nice image, and note!

We need some more links to the glossary or some stickies 'cause this ("what's a radar?") happens every Radar thread.
