Hey guys. This looks real to me, but I'm no expert. I'd really like your opinions on its authenticity.

Thanks a bunch!

I don't trust this coin at all. The hair is not sloping up the way it is supposed to. Anyhow, any decent example should be in a slab and certified and if this were real, it would (or should) be in a slab, given how nice this coin is!

The 6 and 9 don't look right either and LIberty's head should reach the top denticles.

Plus the ebay seller is new, so stay away! Here is the link to the auction featuring this coin of concern:

Drink coaster. LOL! I also thought the '6' and '9' looked funny, and was surprised it wasn't slabbed. The fact that the seller was new was not lost on me either.

Thanks guys!

I think they would've done better using wrought iron to do this... Well come to think of it, it kinda does look like iron

That shield is way too strong for a 16, and that date (heck the whole coin) looks pretty funky.

GDWSTP: This is a picture of a 1917 SLQ for you to have a picture to compare yours too.......Big issue I have with yours is the fact that the details are ALMOST spot on perfect (the fact that you can even see each toe and every detail on the shield is amazing.....but if they are in such graat shape whats with the color of the coin?.....i would agree with the others on this one being fake......
