Hi,

Nope, it's a large date.

On the small date, the end of the inside of the loop of the 9 comes to a distinct point. The end of the loop of the 9 is flat and that is typical of the large date.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi,

This is an image of a small date proof. Whether the coin is a proof or a circulation strike, the small date looks the same. Note the pointed loop of the 9.

Thanks,
Bill

Can you get a pic of Liberty? It looks like your top loop is pointed to me and pointing to the correct area it should. Not being difficult just think their is more to this one. Wolf

All those who said this is a small date - give yourself a point.

All who said it's a large date need to look again.

I'll stand corrected. It didn't look right though. The 9 didn't look to have the pointed inner loop. Thanks Chuck.

At least we got a good picture of a proof version out of it:-)

Thanks,
Bill
PS: I'll subtract a point. AND...I really need to get some sleep...two screwups in three days...I'm slippin' :-)

Looked like the "low" 7 to me.

Good job Wolf.

Thanks Chuck.

It's much clearer in the 3rd pic.

That was a hard one to figure out.. it looked like a large date, then it looked like a small date, the curl of the nine didn't seem pointed enough..

Nice pick up Bill.
