Have completed my circulated Jefferson collection and have just about finished my Lincoln collection. I will keep eyes open for upgrades but what do others recommend collecting next?

I am big into the Roosevelt dimes from circulation! very fun and challenging enough to keep you going for a while the JFKs are fun from circulation as well these 2 sets also get you going on the mercs and the other half dollars as well you find one and just cant wait to get your hands on another but thats just me the dimes are really cool though

I would IHC, I love them a low grade set is manageable. If you want to do something from circulation, I would say dimes would be logical. Washington quarters would be too difficult as it will be very difficult, if not impossible to find most of the silver years in circulation.

My opinion is to just stop collecting coins now. There are already to many coin colletors out there now. Imagine with coins like the Mercury dimes and many have mintages in the one million + area. With well over 300,000,000 people in the USA, and many are now collecting coins, what are the chances of finding those in change? Another example is I can no longer find a 1913 Liberty Head Nickel in change either. Appears you are sort of into more easily available ooins so as already mentioned, why not Roosevelt dimes? Many, many available in change. And if you hit the banks, might find some real great ones in rolls. You could try for a complete collection of those State Quarters too. For those I suggest a blank Whitman Album for Quarters and put the ones in there you want. Just from circulation, no proofs. You could always upgrade later. Unfortuately most other types of coins will require purchasing and not in change.

+1 on the JFK's. I Completed my set in just a few months and you can even do it in proofs for not too much cash.

Thanks for the recommendations. Leaning towards the Roosevelts since I can search for them. Though I am tempted to start the Kennedy's since I have a few.

Walking liberties are nice, I have plenty myself and I never get tired of them. Most dates are obtained somewhat easily, some not so much.

Another one from " circulation " and affordable to fill in the last spots
Is memorial cents 1959-2008 You can finish that one for the most part BUT still have the 60-p small date and 70-s small date that make it tough finish.
Those two will keep you searching AND if you give up your not gonna go broke filling in those last 2 spots.
Being you did the jefferson " circulation " set wich in reality is not worth much minus the 39-d and 50-d even those two are not worth over 20 bucks combined even in xf condition...
Leads me to the assumption?
My bet is your prob more of the type that likes the thrill of putting to together a circulation set reguardless of its value
I think the 59-08 cents might be up your ally.... Another option is kenndey half dollars , people finish those from roll searching all the time and only have a few spot of to fill ( if I recall the 70-d and 83 dont come up in rolls very often )
Silver is very high right now to start and finish sets... I'd ride out the silver boom let it come back down to the 5-10$ per ounce range in a few more years .Then consider silver sets

Actually a good choice unless you have a source for coins that have to be purchased. As already noted you can find Roosevelt dimes in many place for face values and some Siver ones in Rolls from a bank. Also, with coins such as Lincoln Cents, Jefferson nickels, Roosevelt dimes there are many other ways to find some. For example ask your friends, nieghbors, relatives if they have a jar, can, box, etc full of coins you could look through. Many people come home and dump all their change into such places and keep for a rainy day. ASK. You've got nothing to loose.
