I'm pretty sure it's copper. Not sure about the weight, however it's much thinner than your average cent or nickel.

First, welcome.

Interesting, we need an accurate weight if possible. A jeweler might help you there. Try and stick to one thread.

There isn't any need to begin a new thread with every pic. Just select "Reply to Topic" and add your pic there. Too many threads for the same item just gets really confusing.

I'd also like to see a pic of the obverse. Nice pic btw!

The rims,or lack of,on the OP's coin,as well as its thinness, suggest its a wrong planchet,only an accurate weight will tell if it's a one cent planchet.

jewelers, pawn shops, chemistry labs, someone who reloads bullets...all have scales capable of giving you a useful measurement.
