So I've posted several questions and so far received really great info. Today I was reading a lot on grading. For fun I have been trying to pull 1 quarter from each year from the D and P mints just to see what I could come up with. After reading today and looking at what I have I realize the collection will only be worth something to me. That's but what I was wondering is here are 3 of the quarters I have from the 60's and 70's and was wondering what yall would grade these as. All 3 have dings and scratches somewhere but for the most part the surfaces seem in really good shape to me. I'm interested in your opinions 1) to see if I am anywhere close in my attempt at guessing at a grade for them and 2) just to see what folks think. Honestly compared to the rest of my 60s-70s collection these three are really nice. Let me know what you think.

Hello phankins11!
You are a good photographer or are these scans? Anyway welcome to the family. I cannot grade them as not good at grading Washington Qtrs. My guess is they are between VF30 and XF45. They are not really worth more than face value except that you like them. I think it would do you good to hang around here if you like modern coinage. There's nothing wrong with that, we have a section devoted to it. Hanging around CCF tends to make your collection grow for some reason too.

Thanks Vermontensium and weezydog. I was harder on my coins than you were...I have a lot to learn. Weezydog...those are scan...4800 dpi...does a good job...I stink at photography :) the coins I enjoy the most are the us...old and new, but for some reason I really like the quarters so I am starting to focus on them first. Interest peaked for me when the statehood series started back in 99

I'd say something but I really am a lousy grader of coins so almost any guess would be a guess and probably be told how horribly wrong I am. For all my coins, I never try to grade them. I just look at one and if it looks nicer than the ones in my Albums, in it goes and out comes the one now in there.
To me your are all nice, clean, great details so to me they are OK.
