Kinda Proud Of Myself...thought I Would Share! **bonus**

I noticed on lincolncent.com that I was getting into a lot of duplicate listings - like 1921S cents in VF20...I had five of them. So what I did today was dig into learning how to write a query that would pull items out of my data to populate the catalog leaving out duplicate listings. For the DBA savvy, basically I learned how to use a 'group by' clause in the select query. So...instead of:

1 1921S EF40 $xx
2 1921S EF40 $xx
3 1921S VF25 $xx
4 1921S VF20 $xx
5 1921S VF20 $xx
6 1921S VF20 $xx

I now pull:

1 1921S EF40 $xx
3 1921S VF25 $xx
4 1921S VF20 $xx

When item 1 sells, the next person who visits will see item 2 in its place. Much more efficient, plus this allows me to add ALL my inventory to the active data table without worrying about flooding the store with duplicates! Time to get rid of the "overflow inventory" boxes and start adding items!
