Is there a reliable online resource for pricing VAM's? I picked up an 86 Morgan VAM1B today, not so much for interest in the VAM but because it was just very appealing, and not too expensive. I don't intend to sell it, but I am hoping I didn't get raked over too badly on it.

(FWIW, it's an 1886P, mint with nice toning but with an ugly little bag ding on the rim, reverse. Paid $42.00

In a word, no. There's too little turnover to create any kind of realistic guide, except for the very most common.

Having said that, some prominent VAMmers are publishing VAMView Quarterly, which has all the records of VAM sales they can gather. It's a great start and will only get better as time goes by.

Here are two of the best places for you to go for VAM information:

I'll add my thanks, too. Haven't checked the "vamlink" URL yet but the "vamworld" link was very useful - including a FAQ that answers lots of question.

Unfortunately, they had no price guidance for my 1878 VAM-40. Oh, well....I'm in no hurry.

from the value guide in the 7/8 TF guide the VAM-40 is listed as below
MS-60=75-90
MS-62=90-125
MS-63=150-175
MS-64=300-350
I know it could be a little more or a little less but atleast thats a start

Thanks. Is the guide a book you have or is it available on line?
