Diameter? Weight? I see what appears to be rust scattered around on the coin and I also see some odd graininess and weakness so that is not a good sign.

This coin just dose not look right to me. It looks like it is proof like. Yet it appears to have wear or a weak strike. I am certain if you can have a proof like coin with a weak strike. The cotton bolls are weak as is the hair around the ear. The revers clash seems off also. There seems to be no line from the wing to the N in IN. Yet the rest of the clash marks are strong. Just my thoughts as to what I am seeing.

I don't believe there's a chance that this coin is real.

The date is not only wrong, it's screaming WRONG. The first 3 digits are at an insane upward slant, unknown to any Morgan in my experience, and the 4 was added as an afterthought looking like they threw the punch from across the room, and missed low.

I don't even care what the rest of the coin looks like. Doesn't matter. Although, if you insist, note that it's a 1921-only reverse.

Dave, you are SO judgemental. In the interest of greater civility in public discourse, let's just say it has a mild case of "questionable authenticity".

Looks very questionable. Looks to have entered circulation at some point. Weigh it, then you should have your answer. Yeah, that 4 just jumps out at you.

You slay me.

In the interest of honesty, though, I could see how my words might have been considered a bit harsh. Such was not my intent, and I sincerely hope they weren't taken that way.

The important part of my post was the last sentence I wrote. Never mind the date - the reverse design was used only in 1921. This coin is not real. That's all there is to it.

I have an opinion also, but for now, I would just like to say that things said, from behind a key board, could possibly take on a completely different than intended sense of something you or some one was thinking, While writing but others, see it another way.........
