If you read my other posts you know that I recently bought a group of coins from an estate. I bought all of these coins based on my opinion of grade & whether or not they had been cleaned. There are a couple of these that I think I might not have paid fair market value for. I'm not going to disclose what I paid, but if the forum opinion of grade/condition varies greatly from my own I'm going to contact the seller & make things right. I'm hoping I'll get some good opinions of grade, what problems you see & if the coin is impaired(cleaned, damaged, etc) what percentage of non-problem value would you have paid. My pics are not the best....if there's something I think the pics don't show I'll point it out. These pics show the coin to be a muted gray color, in hand it has that "bright" look I associate with cleaning. I'm not seeing any hairlines under magnification. I would grade this coin about F-12 looks like a fairly normal example I wouldn't consider this a problem coin

I don't look at many Peace dollars with this much wear but I'd guess it's in the VF-25 range. It may have been cleaned but that isn't obvious from the photos.

VF-20, cleaned... There aren't always hairlines on "cleaned" coins. What really tells the story is the sun rays on the reverse, how it is really dark there compared to elsewhere. However it is at least an old cleaning, as it appears it has started to re-tone. I love the look of this years' Peace dollar with the high relief, and it is a hard find in any condition, and even though it has been cleaned, it's still a nice coin

I'd give it a VF20 to 25, "cleaned". The giveaway that it was cleaned, in my opinion, is the brownish film in front of liberty's face and the dark area on the lower half of the reverse. Keep in mind I'm new at this and could be way off.

The pictures are good but the best I can do off them is it's F-15 to VF-25. In other words, unless you paid well-below F-15, I don't know that I'd be thinking of reimbursing on it. That dead surface does say it likely was cleaned at some point, too. It's still very market acceptable and gradable, though.
