Large Cents are fun and many can be quite affordable in lower to mid grades.

Nice pick-ups, Vermontensium. Shows are this oldtimer's favorite venue.

One dealer whom I often seek specializes in large cents and attends most of the larger shows. He typically has four, small baskets; each, containing dozens of old coppers. The boxes have $5, $10, $15 and $20 coins to choose from. The dates range from 1798 to 1856. Some are damaged, many are well worn, but there are many decent coins available in the two higher-priced baskets - borderline XF's, too! I bought four from him this past weekend.

Nice looking coins. I have have a hard time passing up large cents, 2-cent pieces and Shield nickels when I come across them in the bargain bin.
