Does the 1996 WAM look like the 98-00 WAMs? I found a 1996 with an unequal seperation from AME but yet its apart. I've searched thousands of 1996s and this is the first I came across this. The AM base will touch eachother on a normal 1996. But this has a little seperation. So does anybody have any examples whatsoever of a 1996 WAM? Does this coin error even exist?
I dont think this a WAM but was wondering if the WAM of the 1996 is suppose to look like the WAMs from 98-00? Theres not enough info about this error and part of me dont think the coin really exist. Yet I look at every 1996s for the WAM. What I think the coin that was shown to people before was just an over polished die.
If there is a 96 WAM it would have the same attributes as the others. No need for pics. of the FG on yours. Notice the space between the M and E that is a Close AM.
The coin shown is a Close AM. As Coop says, on the WAM the M is equally spaced between the A and E. As the reverse die on a Close AM is polished or worn the A and M will become more widely separated. The M and E separate as well so the spacing remains unequal.
