***UPDATE***well...i am mistakin....when I read about the 1971 Eisenhower dollars on (124) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed dot com I didn't notice the astrick....there are 40% Silver dollar Eisenhowers...but they were mint marked S and were uncirculated...hope you got a good laugh...my excitement has dwindled to sadness....lol

I'm all pumped up! I go to the bank to buy some rolled coins and I was asking the bank teller what all she had as far as rolled coins goes. I got some pennies....some new dollars and then she mentioned...I have some older big dollar coins too. I ask her how many she had...she started taking them out of the paper currency envelope and the first date I see is 1971. I tell her...I will take them all....the picture should say the rest...

Huge-Score!--Well-Not-A-Huge-Score...hope-You-Get-A-Chuckle

I thought you were going to say she had some Morgans or Peace dollars she was going to sell you at face value! So you like Ikes? Too bad I dumped about 500 circulated ones at my bank a few months ago...

If they were Morgans the post title would have said AMAZINGLY GINORMOUS SCORE LOL and it would have been in another section not in the modern coin section...lol

@jiminez 19 of the 20 are 40% silver...current silver content value of 1971-1976 Eisenhower dollars is $14.76 ....so my 19 are worth $280.44

I got them at face value so thats $260 profit

19 out of 20 have "S" mintmarks? Weren't these originally uncirculated or proofs? If so, then good score!

Jayman931 - I'm not an Ike dollar guru, so I may be wrong, you should investigate these further. What I recall is that there are blue Ikes and brown Ikes, these were minted in San Francisco and bear the "S" mintmark and are 40% silver. I have only found one of these in circulation, and it had been marked up pretty bad. I hope I'm wrong, it sounds like you were pretty excited!

from (124) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed .com

Here is the astrik- ** The 40% silver version of the Eisenhower dollar was issued as a collectible only, they are generally not found in circulation. The best way to distinguish the two versions is by weight. The copper-nickel version weighs 22.68 grams, the silver Ike dollar weighs 24.59 grams

I count at least 5 that do not have a mint mark and not all "S" mints contained silver.

If you have any 71D's in this batch, check to see if they are Friendly Eagle Varieties and look real close at IN GOD WE TRUST for Doubling.

I also counted 4 1972 P ikes from your pics, make sure what type the Reverse is on these- if they are type 2's there is a nice premium for them!

This is true. You may have die varieties in that batch that could be worth a premium above any possible silver content. This web site will help you identify any.
