I was think about making myself a coin calendar out of my coins I own that I have taken picture of. Has anyone ever done it and how did it turn out. I am either going to buy one from krause publishing because I know I saw they had one last year. just wanted some feedback on the idea and how you would do it if you were to or how did you do it. also does anyone know of any other places that have coin calendars

A couple of years ago I did a diy calender, with some of my error coins and notes on it. Was a bit of fun but a bit hard on the ink in the printer.

That's not a bad idea. Mind if I steal...er, I mean "borrow" it? Never thought to try it, but it's worth a shot. A lot of companies, like shutterfly and yahoo on the internet will make calendars from your pictures for anywhere from 4.99 to 20 bucks per calendar.

I don't mind. What I am thinking of doing is finding a group of about 4-8 coins from each denomination and do a different denomination on each month. I will have to have my neighbor help me put it together since I do not have photo shop. I was planing on looking at one of the places online to do the printing. But I was looking and found a calendar that has 365 different coin on it.

While the coin calendar that you come up with, may not look as professional as the ones you find already printed up and available, it will have the images of coins that you have and for that reason alone, will be more satisfying.
Good Luck and hope you find what you are looking for.

Now those are cool coins!! I have never heard of a coin that was a calendar. I wish we had some US coins like that!

Djluster, will you let us know how you are progressing? And which coins you decided to feature?
I would love to know how it goes, as I am thinking of making one myself.
