1971 Kennedy proof struck on a 40 silver clad planchet with a I think has a DDR in has to Two I's in pluribus what would you call that a DDR? how rare would this coin be?

1971 Kennedys are copper-nickel clad, not 40% silver- the last one was 1970 and then again in 1976 for the 3 coin Bicentennial Set. As for the DDR, I would need to see pictures to comment on that. It is quite possible that your coin is affected by Machine Doubling which adds no extra value.

What I was trying to say was that the 1971 proof Kennedy half was mistakenly struck on a sliver clad blank. How rare is this? I will try to upload a picture.

If it is really struck on a 40% silver planchet it doesn't matter if it has a DDR or not. How rare would such a coin be? Probably R-7+ if not R-8. Question, how do you know it is struck on a 40% silver planchet? Weight? tissue test? Specific gravity?

I suppose it is possible to have a silver proof from 1971 since they could ahve had some left over silver planchets from 1970, the last official year of 40% silver.
