It looks like Liberty is backwards too so I think the picture is reversed and that these aren't actually fake. Dunno though.

1919 Mercury FSB, no mm, MS 60. Paid $10 for it yesterday. Found in dealer's $10 scrach box.
Remember I am in Sydney, not the U.S., so the dealer is more into Australian coins.
Picked up an XF 1923s SLQ a few years ago, under the same circumstances, for AUD two bucks, different dealer.

Quote: Any update Ed? Hopefully they are not fakes. No, they are not fakes. Sheesh, already. These are just some 90% silver dimes that came from a $1000 bag of mixed silver coins. There's nothing special about them, other than the fact that some of us like the design and collect silver coins. I got all 15 of them for about $50, so if anyone is faking them, they are working really hard for very little return. They do not stick to a magnet, but then, I never tested them with my Tri-Corder.

I just pulled out my roll of Mercury dimes, mine are definitely looking to the left, and not the right. Thats crazy! Maybe your camera reverses images?

http://cgi.ebay.com/270764878257If you're happy with it, enjoy. Just as long as you're aware that you now have $35.74 in silver and $62.03 in plastic in your collection.

That may be true Fredd, but it does not change the fact that the humans are buying them left and right on ebay in masses forking out 75 to 100 just about every time for a graded example, which tells me if the masses like it, it has re-sale value.... Nice addition TBK, I like it, first strike MS 70!
