Yes, it IS a flipped image. All of the Mercury images ARE looking to the left in real life. Will have to watch for that more carefully. Would not want to start another panic.  |

I think the coins are fine, somehow you flipped the picture horizontally, look at the lettering, if they were indeed backwards the letters would read normally.

I'm aware of how much silver value they have in them. I just like the thought of building a full set of flawless ASE. I am also gonna make a set of the ATB 5oz's but don't care as much about their quality, as long as they are not damaged. Saw a set of the first 5 2010 ATB coins in ms69 dmpl go for $4k on ebay so there obviously is value in the slabs. |

So would you say buying a graded coin Fredd is a bad thing in long run, via just a trend, or does it really depend on what is inside the plastic? I would think the old gold graded coins will always be a safe buy, but what about the ASE's? Everyone here seems to love them, they are not just happy with one, it is like the coin has some kind of power over collectors, lol. Funny, out of the 1000's of mint images, the couple that really grab the public's attention, no real reason for it, just is what it is.... I know you have been collecting/dealing in coins since like 1957 so you have obviously seen the trends come and go. I sure don't wanna get stuck with a bunch of high priced plastic one day, but I do only have only two graded coins via a ms 69 ASE 1990 and a Britannia Ms 69 2010. Thought it would be neat to have a couple of examples.... Edited by Silverhawk74

If you buy the coin, not the holder, you'll be fine.
The ones who will lose out are the ones paying huge premiums (like triple for ms70) for coins that are otherwise extremely common.

OOPppsss didn't realize their were three pages, I got to the end of the first page and realized what happened. I wanted to mention a great way to clean TARNISH off Your silver bullion. My recent purchase,   Silver will have to be at $60 oz for me to pretty much break even. But I still like her. |

Leaving it makes it a coin, which has tax ramifications, and makes it a giant coin as opposed to a new denomination.

It would then be subject to sales and property tax in some jurisdictions.
