Your dollar looked good to me also when I compared your pics. But I still think I would take it to someone who has had experience with these just to make sure. You would not want the thrill of having all of the cash when you sold it and then finding you had to return the cash later.

http://www.imagebam.com/image/40da2f129969268Why did I order it? To become educated and share what I learn. I wanted to see if the weight would be right in a fake silver (I have yet to check this). I was surprised to find out this one does not have the porous surface on the letters. Now use the above link to ID this one and you will find it a pretty convincing copy. However, the main thing I noticed that shows it is a fake is that the star closest to the right of the eagle's head (his left) points to the wrong letters in the motto below it. once you see it, it is obvious. This is one of the few problems I found. One other slight problem is the bottoms of some of the letters on the reverse are also a bit "wavy" on the fake when compared to the real ones which are straight.
How about a fake 1804 (not silver)? I got this one to compare to see how a non-silver "felt" in comparison to the silver. It feels pretty real but the sound is definitely not a silver "ring" when you touch this with another coin.
