This coin was in the same hole in an album as the other 1916 I posted. I was pretty surprised when I slid the plastic back & 2 dimes dropped out. Obviously this one is damaged. I'm looking for grading & authenticity opinions. I'd also like to get value guess-timates.

Nice find! It looks genuine to me too, although that is the most unusual wear pattern I've seen on a 16-d. My guess is that it was damaged/bent shortly after being minted, which greatly altered the high points on the coin and therefore altered how the coin wore in circulation. I call "barely" G-4 details, and if genuine maybe $400 or so.

AG-3 and damaged; you're in the neighborhood of around $350-400 for it, although, depending on the bidders' needs, it could very-well command more. BTW, saw your other one, and it looks like the ones in my collection; still looking for the Ds on those, too.

G4 Details/Damaged $450-500 Great way for someone to fill a very tough hole! I am sure you'd have bidders here. There are several here that need it ;)
