I just received my first uncirculated Half Dime in the mail today. It is an 1861 Seated Liberty NGC MS-63 which is going into my 19th Century type set. It is such a pretty little thing.

Nice coin. I have a couple of Seated half dimes in VF, and it's an underappreciated series.
Rest in Peace

Nice Civil War era issue. Beauty! If only this coin could talk, what stories it would tell.

very nice coin. I went on a buying frenzy about a year ago on Seated half dimes and Seated dimes and have no idea why. I think I just liked them and thought they were cheap so I purchased quite a few of them before I sat back and asked myself why. I did something similar with Mercury dimes about 6 months before that because you could buy NGC and PCGS MS-66 common dates for about 20 bucks. So now I have just about a whole safe deposit box full of dimes and Half Dimes

Yes, I am getting an AU 1811 Capped Bust half dollar in two weeks. I made the first of two payments for a group of four coins, an MS-63PQ 1851 3 cent silver, an MS-63 1871 3 cent nickel, an MS-64 1869 Shield nickel and the 1811 Capped Bust half mentioned above.

Yep, vivid descriptions of the inside of each of the vaults, safes, and safe deposit boxes it has been in, that being all it has ever seen.

I just got an 1835 capped bust Half Dime
It was my first real purchase (something over 4 dollars)
granted it's graded good I still wanted it because it's cool looking haha
30 bucks didn't seem like a bad price
