Nice coin. I have a couple of Seated half dimes in VF, and it's an underappreciated series.

Nice Civil War era issue. Beauty! If only this coin could talk, what stories it would tell.

very nice coin. I went on a buying frenzy about a year ago on Seated half dimes and Seated dimes and have no idea why. I think I just liked them and thought they were cheap so I purchased quite a few of them before I sat back and asked myself why. I did something similar with Mercury dimes about 6 months before that because you could buy NGC and PCGS MS-66 common dates for about 20 bucks. So now I have just about a whole safe deposit box full of dimes and Half Dimes

Quote: gonna buy some capped bust babies? Yes, I am getting an AU 1811 Capped Bust half dollar in two weeks. I made the first of two payments for a group of four coins, an MS-63PQ 1851 3 cent silver, an MS-63 1871 3 cent nickel, an MS-64 1869 Shield nickel and the 1811 Capped Bust half mentioned above.

Reallllly nice looking coins. Makes me wonder why they ever stopped making coins like those.
