I just got this set of war time nickels I believed would be a great set for my collection. What you think?

Hmmm, they look nice but I don't know about "gem BU." It's hard to tell w/ the pic you've got, but I'd think maybe XF - AU tops. The 42-D and 45-P look a bit dark.

haha I'm scared to tell you but there was an auction and there were 2 of these the first one went for $70 and the second went up and it was stuck at $50 and I've been interested in the War Nickels so I bid the $60.00 and won. I wouldn't have gone any higher.

60 is more then I would've paid, but I am cheap lol I think you did fine with 60 bucks especially if you really liked the coins and have been waiting to get your hands on them I think someone on the forum posted a handful of really nice shape War Nickels for sale and each one went for around 7 dollars so I think you did fine

HAHA yea the starting price was 100 dollars but nobody wanted to pay that. That is somewhat comforting so that is good to hear. I'm not trying to make a quick buck off of it so I'm happy with it.
Thanks Chris

I think $60 is good. Are you happy with them? If yes, sweet! Seems like they're getting harder to find too.

yeah, don't sweat the price and the main thing is that you liked the coins, someone who has no interest in coin collecting would say you got ripped off buying 55 cents of money for 60 dollars its all about perspective and what you want. You could easily get the 60 you put in back out of those coins though nice buy. Mine in my dansco album are all from circulation and are blackish, those are gems in my eyes :)

So another question, when should I take these out and exam them to see if any are error codes or leave as is in the case?

the case doesn't give them any extra value, so really if you want to just open it up when you have the time properly handle them and you'll be fine plus the case is easy enough to open and close 6 screws or something
