I can't believe the courts would tie up their dockets with this junk.

Laughable, but sad. A funny sad, but still sad. I will definately read all the negs from now on.

Some seller wiggin' out on negs means they are 1) taking it way too seriously and needs to get a life lived in REAL time, and 2) e-Bay is GOD. Not the last time I checked. This guy needs to get real. Edit: looked at this seller's listings, all modern common coins with a few Morgans in homemade bargain basement slabs. Even though he tarted up his listings with fancy typefaces and a rainbow of colors, none of it says "quality" Real sellers don't get all your face for a 99c listing. Even a basic call to the lawyer would cost more than the final sale price plus shipping on the sellers he threatened with a "lawsuit" for "liable." Totally hilarious but kind of pathetic and sad, nonetheless. http://cgi.ebay.com/1884-S-MORGAN-S..._3434wt_1051Note: the 1884-S "MS66" is "interesting." A real slab with that grade would easily trade for $125,000-$150,000. So why is he selling it for $884.84? Someone should ask and play devil's advocate. I like the fact there are 2 private bids, probably in all likelihood shill bids. At first glance the coin looks like a solid MS63 coin, but then there is that milky greyness in the fields that looks like an old dipping, making it look like a classic slider or AU-58, but technically an MS. Curious what the final price will hammer for.

I can't believe someone has not complained to e-bay about him. Using insulting language and threatening someone should get him booted. Why does e-bay have a fine system for stuff like this?

On that morgan, I like how he conveniently left the $200k price tag on it.

Almost all of his Morgans have different coins pictured for the closeups. Look at all the chatter in the slab pics, but much clearer fields in the closeups. I took 5 minutes and reported 30 of then, we'll see.

Dude seriously needs to get a grip. I'd hate to see how this guy is like in real life.
Oh... I'm gonna get sued for saying that. Let me get into my time machine to go back and prevent myself from saying that he needs to get a grip...oops I just got sued again.

I wonder what he'd threaten to do if he knew there was a network of spies spreading word of his lies and stinky droppings. Characters like that have a ripple effect among buyers. Word spreads quickly. Every hobby selling category has a forum somewhere. Not caring about the wider community one has an effect on is a sign of bad business. Not going near that one with a twelve foot bamboo pole. Sooo glad he is not peddling in my line of interest.

Quote: different coins for the closeups Good eye, scubu. Didn't even catch the slab pics were different from the close ups, but it is NOT surprising the seller is a bait and switcher. Some of the negs mention the coin was not the same in the picture, as he does state that is the coin that will be sent, so at least a buyer could file a complaint with PayPal. I've seen this seller's listings before, was never that impressed with listings that had more whiz-bang that actual content worth reading, so never bought from him. In an auction listing, simple easy to read text is infinitely preferable to a whole lot of mumble jumble design to catch and confuse a buyer. I merely think the seller is hiding something if terms cannot be spelled out simply.

haha best thing I see out of this is the fact that a lot of negative comments in questions are coins with values under $10.....really worth even fighting with someone over $10?

Quote: I can't believe the courts would tie up their dockets with this junk. Don't think it applies in this case, but UK courts often deal in petty ebay deals. In the US, any idiot can bring a suit in small claims court. Doesn't mean it will go anywhere.

I wouldn't bid on anything from this guy. My own rule is that I don't bid or buy from anyone who has a lower feedback score than me, and mine is still at 100%. Ick! He's just not worth the hassle.
