What are wholesale buy prices for common Indian cents and Buffalo nickels? Assume average circulation; not slugs not BU.

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say 50¢ for Indian cents and 25¢ for Buffalo nickels?

I don't know for IHCs, but for Buffalo nickels I believe it's 50 cents for one with a date and 25 cents for a dateless one.

I've never seen an IHC for less than $1. Buffalos usually $0.25, dateless $0.11. That seems to be avg. price here in NJ.

I've seen a dealer offer of 0.06 for dateless buffalos. Personally, I wouldn't pay above face for those...just no interest in trying to find a buyer for those.

For Indian cents, a dollar would seem too much since dealers often have them in bargain bins for a buck and sometimes 75¢. Then again, the last time I dealt with those at the wholesale level was a few years ago.
Rest in Peace

Dateless buffalos for 6 cents a piece? sign me up please! The amount over face is worthwhile to have a nic-a-date funfest, or just to spend some at general stores and see the looks on peoples faces. I will buy them at that price all day!

I've not seen Indians for less than a buck each either and I'd also snap up Buffalo's for 6 cents each since I see them sell for between 25 & 50 cents.

Common date Indian cents pre 1900 $65.00 - $70.00 a roll in G-VG and 1900 - 1909 $55.00 - $60.00 per roll of 50 coins.

Common date Indian head nickels good or better $20.00 - $22.00 per roll of 40 coins.

Individual dealer prices may vary.

I agree. I've found a number of nice dates (albeit in FR2/AG3) in the supposedly dateless pile. Just bought a dateless 1913-D T1 for $0.40 yesterday!
