Looks like the red metal wants a little star time with his big brothers! A pretty good move up the last few days has pre-82 cents at 2.7 cents in melt value. I'm hoping we can get back to 3 cents apiece by mid summer. I need to sell some of my hoard and would like to get $40-$45/box. I think that is doable at 3 cents apiece!

I keep seeing these copy ASE copper coins an what not on ebay, and oddly enough people keep buying them, lol.... Funny, I saw a 1 gram copper bar the other day for like 2 bucks. A gram of copper, really? I would have to laugh at the premium one would pay, if they bought a troy pound worth of 1 gram copper bars, at 2 bucks each, rof !!

at propertyroom.com (one of the sites in the banner at the top) they have 1 ounce bars and coins of copper to bid on. $1 for new auctions, toward $5 for auctions about to close Note: where it really hurts is shipping, most of their shipping charges are $7.95 each item

there are even 8 oz copper bars on propertyroom.com but that's only about $2 in copper content

Let me tell you a story on my accidental acquisition of a 1 gram copper bar. Was on ebay just looking around the bullion section and came across what I thought was a 1 gram silver bar. For the price of $1.49 and free shipping, it was a bit unique. So why not. Well my reading comprehension not being what it should be, I won this 1 gram bar (if you can call it that)of copper. So to teach myself a lesson on making sure to read the whole auction description, I taped it to the computer monitor. So to remind me of this lesson. Read first, Bid later!

I collect copper pennies & just standard nickels since they're supposed to change the content of both here soon. It's insane that people are buying 1 gram bars, 1 oz bars , 1/2 pound bars and 1 pound bars from ebay , but people are so scared that things are going to crash. Heck , people are trying to figure out how to melt down nickels for the nickel content (Not paying any attention on how toxic it is to do that). It amazes me the stupid stuff people are doing , but people are scared and many are turning to metals & coins (Heck, that's really the reason I got into coins in the first place).

I bought one of the "Copper Eagles" for just under $2 with .99 shipping. I know how overpriced they are, but as an old die cutter I was interested in the quality of the die. It is somewhat shallow but all in all they managed to pull off a pretty good looking coin. I'll probably give it away in a contest sometime when I'm fully fledged here if they don't throw me off of the site for blatant ignorance.
