Who wouldn't want a 'CC' mint Seated Liberty dollar?
Considering that any 'CC' mint coin is hard to come by, can you imagine how rare it is to have one that was minted prior to the mint actually opening?

Just out of curiosity, how much was the seller asking for it?

There are NO CC dollars that have no motto "in god we trust" above the eagle. This is not a genuine US minted coin, walk away, no RUN AWAY.

I want you all to know I did buy one like that today. I really like that early date cc mint mark.

In addition I got an earlier CC, it's my new 1817 Trade dollar and its a beauty.

They were only $4 dollars each.

Did I get a deal or did I get a deal?

Thanks for the laugh! You also wouldn't find a "city" there in 1817--or 1847.

Vladiman please take no offense. That was rude of me. Your question was very valid. There are a number of resources to check dates, mint marks and coin grades. PCGS offers a price guide which not only gives you prices, but the years each serries was issued and the mints they were struck in. PCGS photograde gives you photos of each grade of all the US coins minted.

This is one of the best resources out there for information.
