Beautiful! I saw one at the show that was toned a sort of blackish color. Just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. Now I wish I had. great pick up!

I too love the toned Morgans. Too much for me to be spending right now when I have other stuff I'd rather own. Congrats on the pick up

I have one Morgan that has bluish hints around it and has darker color in other places, I don't really like the toning at all on it and the only reason I bought the coin was because I needed the VAM upgrade this coin provided and they are few and far between in this particular grade (3 total in this grade both services combined). About a week after I got the toned example I cherry picked another one blast white graded by NGC (the other was graded by PCGS) in the same grade, just my luck. I now have 2 of the 3 ever graded and attributed this high by PCGS and NGC combined

So, what's the assigned NGC PCGS grade? Normally toned common-date Morgans are only slabbed when mint state but this coin looks to have some high-point friction that would suggest AU. How did NGC PCGS call it?
Edit: MS-63 it is; I guess they should know! The first obverse photo sure makes it look lightly circulated but apparently that's just the way the toning developed.

Nice color, I like it. Bryan1315, pictures? I'd like to see the one with the toning you don't care for. It sounds interesting. ANA LM-3175

It doesn't look circulated to me, its just hard to tell in those photos, the blue looks warn off in the photos but its just the coin shining.

Nice toner! I have several toned Morgan dollars but I remember my first toned one and it is still my favorite! Congratulations on your new acquisition.

Wow Bryan that first one with the rainbow tone is nice looking, I really like the purple color on it. I can see some green on the middle one too, its a nice green I bet it looks great in the sun.

Nice coin master, and welcome to the forum. I had thought that your coin probably looks very different with different photos, as your original photos made it look a little...strange.

Bryan1315, thanks for posting the photos of your dollars. The rainbow is very striking and the next one has mint luster so thick you can cut it with a knife I really like that one and the third dollar appears to have somewhat proof like surfaces and the color I find attractive also. I am one who prefers a very nicely toned coin over the same date / mint that is blast white, to me the color adds character IMHO. Ed ANA LM-3175
