Got this one for my 7070.. Liked the toning too much to pass it up. Thoughts on the grade?

That is a nice 1909-D. I would grade it AU55.

Strong BOLD Strike in Liberty. Eye is visible and plainly recognized, light wear on the tips of the reverse feathers but all detail still present. There appears to be no apparent rim dings or damage, lips show distinct upper and lower, eagles shield is virtually instact and the arrows look perfect, talons on Eagles claw are very obvious. Besides the obvious marks to the face of the coin, I am going to guesstimate
that this should be no lower than au-55 but my grade is
au-58. Beautiful quarter to add to your collection.

I agree with AU-55. I see light wear on the hair above Liberty's forehead, the central tail feather, and the wing tips. Detail is very strong which makes this a good choice for your type set. The toning is attractive although the uniformity of the color might suggest it is not entirely original. AT can look like this sometimes.

I wonder if that dent on the cheek is a planchet flaw? It doesn't have the look of post-mint damage.
