I have usually had access to a PCGS sample slabs history site which showed their slabs from the first one when they started to date. I believe a CCF member set it up, I could be wrong. I saved this site for reference and lately it is 'suspended'. I am asking if anyone would have a reference site like the one that is no longer available, it needs to show the entire history of their 1st generation to date slabs, Thanking you in advance for any effort, Mike...

No, the sampleslabs.com site was created by Cameron Keifer, a former grader at ICG. He was a young rising star in the numismatic world until he committed suicide right before Christmas last year. I would guess that either the domain expired or fees were not paid, hopefully someone else will take it over and keep the site active. As far as I know, there is nothing else comparable other than a sample slab book written by Conder.

I would assume that the domain contract ran out or Cameron's wife had it taken down. As far as I know no one else has a site dedicated to sample slabs. I do know there are some other dedicated collectors of sample slabs, but the only ones who have ever done any real work on the subject were Cameron and myself. Hopefully someone with an interest in the field will create a new website. I could probably do it but I don't know how to set up a website, and I probably don't have enough gumption to do so. There is a relatively new sample slab collector who has been writing some articles on the subject. Maybe we could get him to revive the site. He has sent me a couple emails in the past two days I haven't replied to yet, maybe I'll try broaching the possibility with him.
Ok, I've run the suggestion by him. Now just have to wait and see what he thinks.
My book wasn't on sample slabs, it was on all slabs and it contained a section on sample slabs.

Bob and Conder,
I appreciate the information, it would seem Bob is on the ball with the latest who's who and I appreciate the news.
Conder, it is NOT that difficult to make a site, my son and I have just patented a tool and While He is very bright, I have seen him make a site from scratch. There are sites on line that walk you through the process, you are also very knowledgeable and I have all the confidence that YOU can do it!
I thought CCF member had more than just some knowledge on the topic, I wish you luck and I am upset I think I did not copy and save the site, and I am trying to complete the collection and would enjoy those sweet photos, Thanking you both for your time and effort, Mike.....Conder do you have any Photos of ALL the generation's of slabs, from the 1st to date?

I do have Cameron's entire website downloaded. A couple years ago Cameron told me I could use anything he had on his site. I'm currently trying to get a contact address for his widow to get her permission as well. We are looking to try and restore his website (probably with some changes and corrections. For example in the PCGS sample his PCGS 4 actually came before PCGS 3. It is based on an earlier generation slab.). He had too much good information to allow it to be lost.

I am glad the cat is out of the bag because I was having a hard time not letting the members know that was asking about it that there was one in the works before this other guy went ahead and did all the work to build his own site
